Saturday August 25, saw the ARP Battle at the Beach race highlight a night of exciting open wheel racing. 8 midgets were in the pits all vying for the $1,500 winners purse the crowd new that racing would be intense. Two heat races were held with wins going to Kyle Smith and Ronnie Gardner. The 30 lap feature was a hard fought between Cody Swanson who led the first 25 laps only to be passed by Gardner who took the lead on lap 26 going on to take his third win of the season and third ARP Battle at the Beach Race in a row, from his inside third row starting position. Also getting by Swanson was a hard charging Kyle Smith who took second place with Swanson finishing third. Following Gardner, Smith and Swanson to the line were Greg Edenholm and Randi Pankratz. Gardner's win keeps him atop the VRA Midget Standings in both the regular point race and the ARP Battle of the Beach series within a series.

IMCA Modifieds also were on the card Saturday night with the 20 lap feature win going to Randy Thornell over Brad Prows, Mark Davis, Steve Bulpitt and Jack Parker. Two heats were rue with wins going to Eric Hamilton and Thornell. Jack Parker retains the point lead by 20 over Prows with only two races remaining in their season.

In VRA Sport Compact racing the night saw the heat race win go to Mike Stanford. Their 20, lap main event went to Zachary Peterson. He was followed to the line by Eric Griffin, Jess Carlucci, James Adler and Justin Kierce. Peterson's win moved him into the season point lead by 25 over Carlucci.

VRA Go Karts also competed with 10 karts signed into the pits. Two heats were run with wins going to Dillon Ito and Kenny Byers Jr. The 20 lap feature saw Mike Evans take the lead on lap 12 from Jimmy May and go on to take the win. Justin Raper finished second with Cody Nigh third, Jimmy May fourth and Kenny Byers fifth.

The final class racing on Saturday night was the QRC Go Karts. This visiting group put on a great race on the infield track. These winged go karts were competing here for the first time. Their 20 lap feature went to Tim Randolph followed by Toby Randolph, Ruben Nodal, Ryan Fruge and Gordon Garcia. They ran two heats with wins going to Ron Souza and Tim Randolph.
